New Announcement: Launch of Feasibility Studies for Cordoba Plastics in Burkina Faso

We are pleased to announce the completion of the economic and technical feasibility studies for Cordoba Plastics, a joint Burkinabe-Egyptian company specializing in plastic recycling. The project aims to establish a state-of-the-art facility in the industrial zone of Kossodo, Burkina Faso, with a daily production capacity of 50 tons.

Project Vision

This initiative is part of our commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to tackle plastic pollution. The plant will recycle plastic waste into high-quality products used in daily life, such as:

  • Household plastic items.
  • Packaging materials.
  • Multi-purpose plastic products.

Importance of the Project

The Cordoba Plastics project represents a significant step toward boosting sustainable investments in Burkina Faso. It contributes to:

  1. Environmental protection: By reducing plastic waste and promoting recycling practices.
  2. Local economic growth: Through the creation of new jobs and adding value to discarded materials.
  3. Industrial support: By supplying high-quality plastic products at competitive prices for local and regional markets.

Strategic Location

The industrial zone in Kossodo has been chosen as the site for the plant due to its advanced infrastructure and proximity to distribution hubs and major markets, enhancing production and supply chain efficiency.

Implementation Plan

  • Phase One: Construction of facilities and installation of production lines, scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025.
  • Phase Two: Gradual operation of the plant, starting with partial capacity, aiming to reach full capacity by 2026.

Our Aspirations

Leveraging the expertise of our Egyptian partners, who have extensive experience in the industry, and our local knowledge of Burkina Faso’s market and environment, we aim to make this project a benchmark for waste management and recycling in West Africa.
